The Coolest Celeb Nails at the 2025 Grammys – Nail Design


We love award show season for the chance to see what all the celebrities wear on their nails. Some sets are simple and classy and some are fully blinged out, while others push the boundaries of nail art altogether. It’s all thanks to these celebs’ extremely talented and creative manicurists.

Tons of stars at the Grammys wore one particularly innovative brand, Aprés Nail, and the bespoke sets their nail artists created for them were stunning. See the looks and individual breakdowns below.

Chappell Roan

Chappell Roan’s beautiful performance nails were created by Celebrity Manicurist Juan Alvear (@byjuanalvear) using Aprés Nail.

Breakdown:

  1. Prep nails using pH BondorNon-Acidic Gel Primer
  2. Apply Natural Almond Medium Gel-X Tips using Extend Gel
  3. Paint surface with Birnam Wood
  4. Apply chrome powder over cured Non-Wipe Matte Top Gelcoat
  5. Mix Non-Wipe Glossy Top Gelcoat with French Manicure Gel in French Black and cure for 60 seconds to create 3D design. Apply chrome powder in purple 
  6. Apply stone embellishments on nail using Diamond Gel
  7. Finish using Non-Wipe Glossy Top Gelcoat

RAYE

RAYE’s manicure was created by Celebrity Manicurist Yoko Sakakura (@nails_by_yoko).

Breakdown:

  1. Prep nails by cleaning up cuticles, gently buff the nails, and wipe them with alcohol
  2. Apply Aprés Nail ph bonder
  3. Apply Non-Acidic Gel Primer
  4. Apply a thin layer of Extend Gel to the nails and cure them for 30 seconds.
  5. Choose appropriate size for each nail plate and apply Gel-X Prep inside of the Natural Stiletto Short Gel-X Tips
  6. Apply a small amount of Extend Gel inside of Gel-X Tips and apply them 45-degree angle to the nail and flash cure to secure them in place
  7. Cure them for 60 seconds
  8. File to round the tips and wipe them with acetone
  9. Apply 1 coat of Flushed and cure them for 60 seconds
  10. Using French Manicure Gel in French Black, create French tips and cure them for 60 seconds 
  11. Apply a small dot of Extend Gel at the middle on the smile line, and place crystals on each nail
  12. Apply two coats of Non-Wipe Glossy Top Gelcoat and cure them for 60 seconds after each coat.
  13. Moisturize cuticle with a Cuticle Serum

Teddy Swims

Teddy Swims’ nail look, possibly the most unique set at the awards, was created by Celebrity Manicurist Juan Alvear (@byjuanalvear).

Breakdown:

  1. Prep nails using pH BondorNon-Acidic Gel Primer
  2. Apply Natural Square Extra Short Gel-X Tips using Extend Gel
  3. File corners of tip to create a very short natural looking extension
  4. Apply base color: Ruby Slippers
  5. Sculpt small roses roughly the size of the nail bed using Extend Gel Novice
  6. Paint 3D roses using Hearts and Likes, Plum out of Luck and Aloe You Vera Much
  7. Encase roses with Diamond Gel for protection
  8. Finish off using Non-Wipe Glossy Top Gelcoat across nail base and roses
