Megan the Stallion may be known for her fondness for all things anime—she’s been cranking out the anime-inspired looks over and over again for years now—but she’s not the only rapper who loves injecting the animated Japanese art form into fashion and beauty moments. Her WAP collaborator Cardi B is a fan, too, and she wore a flawlessly executed head-to-toe anime look over the weekend that was topped off with the cutest hairstyle imaginable.
Cardi kicked off a weekend in New Orleans that seemed less about football and more about fashion and fun. On Friday, she visited the city’s Fat Tuesday to play bartender. But as delicious as her colorful frozen drink concoctions looked, her ensemble stole the spotlight.
The rapper topped off an asymmetrical plaid skirt with a Dublet t-shirt featuring an adorable rabbit-eared anime character sitting on a crescent moon. And Cardi managed to make herself look like an anime character in her own right with a playful hairstyle.
She wore most of her super-long, dark hair down, and parted in the middle, which facilitated two truly perfect space buns. White ribbons were worked into the double donuts to make them extra-impish, and the style was completed with super-swoopy bangs.
